Definition of Capability

Airline

Ability to construct offers including services using the new service taxonomy codes (no use of SSRs or RFIC/RFISC codes)

Seller

Ability for the seller to request services based on new service taxonomy codes (no use of SSRs or RFIC/RFISC codes)

NOTE: System Providers will use the above definition that pertains to their customers for Capabilities Verification.

Retailing Capabilities Verification Guidance

Airline

• Identify service preferences/filters on shopping requests based on service taxonomy codes and construct offers to match requests:

  • /IATA_AirShoppingRQ/Request/ShoppingCriteria/ServiceCriteria/TaxonomyCode

• Confirm the type of service in the offer by assigning its respective service taxonomy code:

  • /IATA_AirShoppingRS/Response/DataLists/ServiceDefinitionList/ServiceDefinition/ServiceTaxonomy/TaxonomyCode

Seller

• Request specific types of service preferences/filters on shopping requests based on service taxonomy codes:

  • /IATA_AirShoppingRQ/Request/ShoppingCriteria/ServiceCriteria/TaxonomyCode

• Render the type of service returned in the offer on your front end:

  • /IATA_AirShoppingRS/Response/DataLists/ServiceDefinitionList/ServiceDefinition/ServiceTaxonomy/TaxonomyCode
